USDA West Africa PRO-Cashew Project Hosts Launch Event
PRO-Cashew aims to improve boost the competitiveness of West African cashew sector
Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA), in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire and with the support of Le Conseil du Coton et de l’Anacarde will host the official launch ceremony of the USDA West Africa PRO-Cashew Project in Abidjan. The five-year United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) West Africa PRO-Cashew Project will work to boost the competitiveness of West African cashew producers in Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria by improving efficiency and quality in cashew production and trade, and by working to develop more coherent regional trade and investment policies.

Who: The launch event will include:

- Adjoumani Kouassi KOBENAN, Ministre de l’Agriculture et du Développement Rural
- Jean Francois Guay, Chief of Party, PRO-Cashew Project
When: Thursday, November 19, 2020, from 10:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. GMT
Where: Andrew Young Center, Abidjan-Côte d’Ivoire
