Alan Pieper

Chief Operating Officer

Alan Pieper has more than 20 years of experience implementing development projects and managing United States Agency for International Development (USAID) awards. Prior to his work in international development, Pieper was employed in the private sector in banking and agriculture finance.

Pieper has worked extensively throughout Eastern Europe and the Middle East, building financial institutions, implementing credit programs, and helping agriculture producers and small businesses access financing and grow their businesses.

Pieper joined CNFA at its Washington office in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Operations & Compliance. In 2015, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Pieper is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Science in Agribusiness Economics.
