Elin D. Miller

Elin D. Miller is a veteran agricultural and management executive with more than 30 years of senior leadership experience in the corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors. Miller is founder and owner of UmpquaNut Farm and Umpqua Vineyard in Oregon, and principal of Elin Miller Consulting LLC, which provides high-level strategic management counsel to major corporations and organizations.

Miller formerly served in a number of top global leadership positions at Dow Chemical Co., including Global Vice President of public affairs, Vice President of pest management, and Vice President Asia Pacific. She also has served in several top government positions, including regional administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, with oversight of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington; director of the California Department of Conservation; and chief deputy director of the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. She currently serves on the Fall Creek Farm and Nursery and Vestaron Corporation Boards.

A Rhodes scholarship finalist and named one of the “50 Most Powerful Women in PR” by PR Week, Miller is one of the first women elected as a national officer of FFA (formerly Future Farmers of America). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Plant Protection from the University of Arizona and is a graduate of INSEAD’s Advanced Management Program.
