Emily Hendrick

Emily Hendrick provides technical direction for monitoring and evaluation across CNFA’s global portfolio and new business development efforts. As Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, she specializes in the use of strategic planning and performance management approaches, as well the employment of tools to maximize the impact of development assistance and private sector.

Prior to joining CNFA, Hendrick co-founded and directed technical services for KDS, a sustainable development advisory firm based in Beirut, Lebanon, where she lived for eight years. During her time there, she managed the research, monitoring, and evaluation consultancy portfolios, working with a range of public and private sector clients including USAID and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) agricultural development projects, as well as agribusinesses seeking to start up or expand. Hendrick conducted market analyses and development impact assessments to support evidence-based investment decisions and designed monitoring and evaluation systems that supported results-oriented project management.

Hendrick has worked with economic growth projects funded by USAID and agencies of the United Nations and European Union in Egypt, Nepal, and Pakistan, and has lived in and held long-term positions on agricultural value chain development projects in Indonesia, Iraq, and Lebanon.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies – Center for Policy, Environment, and Development.
